Well, as fate would have it... I picked up my new truck on Tuesday, and put it in the shop today for air-conditioner problems! Everything was working fine this morning, but by noon, the AC was blowing warm air. (Yes, the compressor was on! )

Unbelievable... hopefully, not a sign of what lies ahead!

It they cannot find problem ask them to put on a Chevy truck 2500 series dual electric fans. Changed the complete performance on My AC.
While researching it I found that this fix became standard on Escalades when continued AC perf. was poor. Cadilac did it for free but, doubt Hummer will.
I made My upgrade for Performance reasons and then find out the AC would freeze Me out. I had been considering a rear AC setup but, no more.
If You have an other problem then stay on them.
But if You would like just better cooling just search dual air fans in the find under TAZ.

There's a button with up and down arrows right by the temp readout. Push the down arrow multiple times until you feel the air getting cooler. That should fix it.

If that doesn't help, and you have another sister to spare, ask Tower. He'll fix it for you.

Probably the low pressure switch -- an easy fix. My '03 had that same problem.

Thanks, Dennis -- guess I should have noted that I had the temp set at 60 degrees!

No more sisters... guess I'm on my own to trust the dealership!

Thanks... hopefully it is something that "simple".

usetosellhummer 07-08-2005 05:52 PM

Make them replace the compressor!

DennisAJC 07-08-2005 05:54 PM

Just teasing LOLO

I had a similar problem. I only had 2 settings, hot and cold. It was a simple fix.

Sometimes it's a case of sticky valve/flow door or low pressure switch replacement.

3 days is unusual though unless your dealership is busy.

Not a problem... I knew you were!

As to the 3 days... I have only HAD this truck 3 days -- hopefully, they will have it out of the shop by tomorrow.

Damn, you beat me to it. BTW, how are the love birds doing. Didn't they just have a secret rendezvous? Wedding bells and bliss for them? Will they be sharing accommodations at Moab? If not, I'm going to bring a light bar to trade for her while we're there.

DennisAJC 07-08-2005 07:48 PM

What LoLo is not telling us is the bitch slapping she recieved when her sister came home.

By "slapping" do you mean peeing on?

LoLo 07-08-2005 08:09 PM

You guys are horrible! (But we knew that!)

She isn't home, yet... they are still on the "rendezvous". As soon as I get a report, I will post for you two... I know the suspense is killing you!

Just maintaining the reputation. Have you heard from her? Do you think he buried her somewhere?

LoLo 07-08-2005 08:21 PM

Just got the call -- truck is ready... low on charge.

Also, just got a call from the Tower... here's what he dictated to me:

"We are both very happy... and are looking forward to seeing everyone in Moab, presuming you all can get dates firmed up in time to allow for our scheduling."

"One room will be fine... thank you very much... any more detail would be in poor taste!"

There you have it... Leave the light bar at home, DRTY!

But you didn't talk with her? Hmmm... roofies?

LoLo 07-08-2005 08:54 PM

No such luck, DRTY... talked to her, TOO!

jason427 07-09-2005 08:36 PM

MINE TOO!!!!

Ive got 500 miles and today by mid afternoon of running erands, my AC was blowing warm. Much warmer out of the drivers side vents then the passenger. Leads me to think it might be something with the control unit in the dash. Any thoughts????

Thanks,
Jason

That is exactly what mine was doing, too...

They said that the "charge" (I had to ask... duh!) was low and that there was a computer "update" for that problem.

Mine is working great, again!
