First ride in a snowstorm. The only other vehicle that has a worse defrost is an old style VW bug. $50 F&^%$ing K and 2 little vents with no capability to heat the sides of the window. Yea you can run it full blast at 90 without warming you toes & it still can’t keep the window clear.
Driving conditions: 26F; light – medium snow; 40mph
Not impressed!!!!

It works great! Even in Canada!

Sometimes there is an excess of moisture, ie, getting into yer vehicle covered in rain or snow. It takes awhile for any vehicle to evapoarte that stuff.

Or if you're just a sweaty pig.

I got my front window to stay clear in near white-out snowfall by diverting all of the air to defrost and using washer intermittently - my feet were freezing. If I selected a combination setting for defrost + lower vent my window froze up - that just plain sucks!

It doesn't get that cold in SF area, but we have been to the mountains for ski many times, that was never an issue, never noticed similar problem, never even turn on the heated seats while up there. About 20 degree F, a few light snow storms or snow falls. Maybe not rough enough?

Even at higher temperatures with snow the defrost blows. The windshield wipers blow too.

I think it has to do with the temperature, snow, and humidity. Wet snow sucks with the H2.

The vehicle compatability chart on the shaker site says the 2003 Hummer H2 and H1 are not compatable with the product.

They state on thier site that the system will not break or crack the window.

I have not had a problem with my defrost. I think it works fine. I am interested in the hot shot though, Dick do you have any feed back yet?

Dick Renaud 12-08-2003 09:20 PM

drouke,
I am having it installed on Friday. I will post pics and my experience as soon as we have snow and ice. We missed the big storm you got. It went south of us. NO FUN.
