The idiot who installed my DVD tore the foam piece between the center console and dash. Any suggestions? Which piece it it attached to- the center console or dash? Thanks

The center console. At least on my 03 it is.

Suggestions? Buy a whole new console and bill the installer for it.

Seriously, call a Hummer dealer. If they have a replacement foam piece with adhesive, then replacement shouldnt' be too hard to do yourself. There's a post describing how to remove the center console. Slide it back and lift out. Carefully remove the old foam and adhesive with a sharp exacto making sure to stay away from the visible edge on top and apply the new one.

Still bill the installer.

Here's the center console removal procedure center console removal (by HappyJack) with pictures and all. The bolt pattern may be a bit different and you should probably pick up some tray retainer clips (part # 12338108) to replace any you might lose in the process of removal.

Mine did it too

What's wrong with these installers? I've been in an out of my dash's center section twice and not done anything so stupid. And I'm not that handy.
