Is anyone experiencing a loud banging noise (like a Super Loud drip) after you park your H2? It almost sounds likes something is clicking every 10 seconds for about a minute or so. It's loud and annoying...but I'm not sure if it's something I need to check w/the dealer. Any suggestions?

Is it coming from the rear? If so, it may be your air ride system pressuring down. Both my H2's had air ride and both made that same sound. If that's the location of the sound, it's normal. My Landrover with air ride did the same.

Likely a problem with the exhaust mount. A lot of people have described it as a pinging noise. There's a TSB out on this, the dealer will do it under warranty, I believe they add an additional weld. Had mine taken care of about 6 months ago, no problems since.

I had the same problem with my AMC Pacer. My dambed ex-wife just would'nt stop her banging on the inside of the trunk.

I bet your current wife has a standing letter with her lawyer, "in the event of my disappearance, please check James' trunk.."

It is the muffler heat sheild. I replaced mine with a flow and POOF! It went away.

A lot of cars make the same noise actually.

A lot of cars make this noise - to a point. This is a problem with some GM SUVs and GM has recognized the issue. It's not just a mild pinging, I know I could hear the noise inside my house when the truck was parked in the driveway. It was THAT loud.
