And the Navi

ROX 11-20-2005 11:33 PM

Sweet setup!

How's the nav work?

kodiakz 11-20-2005 11:37 PM

Awesome!! It also has a built in 20gig drive for music storage so no need for nav dvd. I can also record (in analog) anything on radio, satellite, or aux in (ipod). Backup cam is tied in to system also and can be switched on while driving if needed.

cool man i love the SUT, not my taste on the rims as i dont really like the "street look" but at least ur not yellow!! nice h2 bro

VTSTOMPER 11-21-2005 12:22 AM

What size tires?

timgco 11-21-2005 12:35 AM

NICE! I'm glad you are going to set up my H3. That looks good.

BTW- I have seen you around Denver. LMAO when you posted the pics. Now I can swerve at you next time.

kodiakz 11-21-2005 12:41 AM

Thanks!! The wheels are 22", but I kept the stockers for a little off road use if need be. This truck is used for our mobile showroom, and might not show as well if I wheel the heck out of it!! Down the road it will see its share of dirt.
Tim, just as long as you don't flip me off!! lol

Nice work.

How did you support the weight of the Passport? Is dealer install really necessary? If no, what can non-dealers expect to pay for the system?

passport. Damnit! In dash setup? hmmmmm. Damnit!

TXSUT 11-21-2005 01:26 AM

What's that white stuff on your neighbor's lawn?

kodiakz 11-21-2005 01:36 AM

Rod, that is only the dislpay and it weighs only a few ounces at most, so really easy to install. The install is long, but pretty easy overall. You will need to mount 3 parts on the front bumper and 1 on the rear license plate holder. Then wire everything to a small junction box under the dash and connect the display. Works awesome!!!!! Saves my bacon at least once a week and it does seem to jam laser effectively as I know I was over the limit a few times when I was tagged with the laser. I can sell you a box as long as **cough cough ahem** you have a brand new Hummer right??!!!!! PM me if you need any other details.

Tim, maybe I better not come see you--might be a few more things you can't do without!!

TXSUT, I know. I hate winter and especially snow, but might I'm pumped to see how the H2 can do in the snow.

Just curious, but how did you get from the rear tire to the front interior? I know how I did it when installing the framecam on my SUT and can't help but wonder if there's an easier route...
