I would be interested in changing the exhaust in my 2005 SUT, but I want the pipe to be hidden like the stock one is. Has anybody seen any solutions like this?

Look for the option, "Off-road" tips. That's the common name for what you are looking for. I have the B&B Tri-Flow with the outlet in the stock location. You can usually buy the Corsa brand at your dealer with the off-road tip. Corsa is very popular. Probably because of the dealer connection.

Any half way reputable exhaust shop should be able to give you exactly what you are looking for, in either single or dual exhaaust. If it's not what you want, tell them and have them rebend until it's right!

Ric has it right. I had My performance exhaust shop stop duals right where it was on the stock location and use stock hanger locations.
Ric the package is on the way. TAZ |
I had the Corsa exhaust installed by the Dealer on my 03 w/ an offroad tip on it...

I've had flowmasters on my Z71 P/U as well as my HO... it was definitly louder in the HO, because it is an enclosed body... In the Z71, the exhaust was under the bed, which was not part of the cab body and you didn't notice it in the cab like you did in the HO... I wonder if the SUT would be quieter in the cab like that? ...now did that make any sense at all to anyone? K |
BTW, "HO" = "Tahoe"...

Actually, I'm trying to catch up w/ DRTY on my post count by adding a bunch of inane comments after my initial response....

Go to http://www.summitracing.com
They have an Edlebrock Cat-Back system for only $350 for the H2 (tips is hidden). I'd pull the trigger at that price but I have no idea what an Edlebrock muffler sounds like. I had a Corsa Sport but I'd rather have something that sounds like a Magnaflow or Flowmaster. But at that price, I can afford to try it at least. |
