I wish I knew how!

Ive been trying to get that damn thing turned off for a year now. I would gladly donate a kidney to anyone that figures it out!
|
My wife used to drive an 05 Expedition.. In the maunal it had instructions to turn off the chime... I had to turn the key to accessory, turn the lights on and off, buckle and unbukle the seat belt 3 times, then press the break twice.. Or something like that...
I tried it 8 times and never could do it... |
Wear it?!
Or buy a spare part to put in there without the belt on it. |
Can't wear it, I have a medical ailment called gut and man boob itus...

My dad may need a few extra body parts. ------ Like I said when Dave brought this up a month or so ago, seems to me the easiest fix is to hack the switch and permanently close it. Or you could do as VT suggested and get another belt part. Or, better yet, you could tell the dealership about your physical problems. They surely have a solution (belt extender or longer belt) they can install? Ebay listing for GM seat belt extender. link |

My 03 doesn't chime except for when I first start going. I normally wear mine... much safer...Actually, I definately wouldn't be here today if I had not been wearing one...

With your radio turned off, hold down the number 6 button until you hear the chime sound and then you can adjust the volume - maybe your's is stuck on loud.
Don't feel too bad, my friends trail blazer has it for the passanger side! If you put something in the seat the alarm/chime even goes off. |
