Has anyone found a good after market compresser that could be mounted under the rear in the stock compresser location? I would like to find one that doesn't take 5-10 minutes to fill a tire.I didn't get the air suspension because I don't trust airbags but could use the compresser.

I thought about the scuba tank also but was told by a few people that a scuba divers license is required to have it filled. I have used the portable air storage tanks and they just didn't hold enough air. I was thinking about installing a small tank under the rear with a compresser but don't know if there is enough room. I think that a tank as small as 4-5 gallons would probably be enough with the compresser.

This is what I use. The Power Tank <http://www.powertank.com/start.htm> it works great. It will fill 40 plus 37x14.50 tires in seconds at a time. That is with the old style regulator that I have. They have a higher volume reg. now.

Another alternative for tank fills: If you have a friend in the fire dept. They fill can and do fill air tanks for their use.. We fill our Tanks we use for our Airmunitions Guns.. NO charge.. SO make friends with a fireman.

Thanks to everyone who has responded. A compresser is still my first choice but it sounds like the tanks are quicker at filling the tires and probably a lot cheaper than a good compresser.

PhilD, how long have you been using your power tank? By the way it runs my impact driver and nail guns great also. I must say the hand grips do get a little cold.

That may be a little optimistic.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>That estimate might actually be spot on.

A scuba tank holds compressed air.

The Power Tank hold liquid CO2 which evaporate and creates compressed inert gas. So it's basically refilling itself over and over again as you are using it.

Look very cool. Not sure if I could afford one. Seems like it might be cheaper to just get a real good compressor at that point.
