I read in an earlier post that there was a mirror problem on late model H2's. Last night I tried to fold in the mirrors using the mirror button. Only the left mirror folded in. I read the manual and it states how to rest the mirrors. I tried several times.
I even reset the right mirror manual. Making sure it was locked into position. But the right mirror never moved when using the auto fold button.
So here's the dumb question:
Aren't both mirrors supposed to fold in electronically? Or is time for a visit to the dealer?

Thanks,
Tim

Yes, as I understand, both mirrors are supposed to fold in electronically. What year do you have? I know they are starting to put the '06 mirrors on '03-'05 models with mirror problems. Sounds like time for a visit to me.

On my 05 SUT, both mirrors fold in at the same time.

I have a 2005 H2 Adventure.
Looks like I need to take a trip to the Dealer.
Anybody have any experience with Los Gatos Hummer?

Tim

Looks like you get some new 2006 mirrors!

I was thinking the same thing!

I had the same problem on my 04. Dealer said the motor on one mirror needed replacing.

McHummer 09-09-2005 06:07 PM

It happened to me... time to take it to the dealer.

06 mirrors are not readily available yet, so you may get the same mirror that you have now.

Cycle the mirror three times. If that doesn't work, manually fold the offending mirror a couple of times and repeat. Worked for me and I haven't had a problem since.

I read the manual and did exactly that, about 4 times and it didn't work.
I also noticed when I had the window down and put the H2 into reverse the mirror growls but doesn't tilt much. I think the motors bad.
Thanks for the info,
Tim

Timster, STOP! You need to read the next line of the OM. If you cycle the mirrors 5 times, they fall off.

What happens after the left mirror is folded and you hit the fold button again?

I think there is a way to set them so they cycle individually.

VTSTOMPER 09-10-2005 01:28 PM

Oh wow. I didn't know that...I will have to look into that.

I know you can do that with curb view...

I found what I posted last year:

Here's how to turn the separate folding feature ON. Not sure how to turn it off though.

With all doors closed turn on the ignition.

Hold the fold button down. After BOTH mirrors have folded continue holding down until you hear 2 beeps
.
Turn the ignition off and then back on again.
Now, when you hit the fold button briefly it will fold the drivers side first, hold for 3 seconds and then the right side will fold.

To have the driver's side open and passenger closed continue holding and drivers will open then passengers now in sequence.
