Hey I just forgot and am way to lazy to find out myself. but are the cigaret lighters and 12v outlets in the front console switched. meaning they turn off with the car or are they always hot?

They are always on.

damn that sucks... where is the closest 12v source that i could easily tap into to use that is switched? what about the back 12v outlets are those on constantly too?

So exactly what are you trying to do??? Don't make us guess. I'm sure you can find some switched power in the console, dash, etc. but depending on what you're trying to do it may not carry the current. So just say what you're trying to accomplish & maybe we can help.

for sponsorship reasons i cannot say trust me i know it is stupid... but it will premier at MOAB in april with the colo crew... hopefully see you there.. iam going to use the underhood souce and run the wire. thanks guys!

dh... Look at PhilDs post above. You don't have to go to the battery. Just the fuse box on the drivers side end of the dash inside the cab. Going through the firewall is a pain in the ass so you may want to use his suggestion.
