Mine was not shifting down when I slowed or stopped. They replaced my ignition switch (never understood the connection)

the shift solenoids are located in the valve body. they can be replaced by removing the transmission pan.the link between ignition switches and transmission problems . is that the ignition switch becomes open and doesn't power up the transmission fuses.

How do you know it's the solenoids?
I have seen only two hardware problems so far. Most likely it's a software update or a Ing switch,Shoot it could also be the connector for the shifter control solenoid(in the console)The wires get kinked(can't spell but can spell kinked )and fray at the termial.
Don't pull the pan unless you know for sure,It's a pain.
