I plan on getting either black or grey Lux package, sunroof, Headrest TV's, XM, Chrome package, Chrome gas cap, Chrome wheels. I'm debating navigation and front brush guard.

That's like "Thank me" or "I'm Welcome".

Besides, isn't that a little demanding for your first post?

I probably would have, but not now, especially after you told me to.

h2co-pilot, lighten up...You know they do make decaffinated brands that are just as tastey as the real thing.

Alrighty then....that's a switch. A newbie dishing it out before he has to take it. You vets will have to go to plan B.

Welcome newbie from another newbie.

HummerNewbie 02-14-2006 06:04 PM

Don't take it so seriously. Note the at the end of her post. It is a little presumptuous to tell everyone to welcome you but I didn't take it that way and welcomed you anyway

You will find that if you don't take everything too seriously around here it is a lot more fun place to visit. You will get razed more as a newbie but it will pass.

Thanks newbie, I appreciate it. Yeah, I dont take much sh*t, and the sh*t I do take its because I am held down. Sorry, it must be the way I raised.

No matter how many brownie points I accumulate over my avitar I get I will always give a welcome to enthused people like you. Hope you get a good deal; watch out for the finance guy if you're financing your vehicle. I caught mine in a $300 error, toward the dealership of course...

HummerNewbie 02-14-2006 06:19 PM

If I were you, I would get an aftermarket Nav system instead. You can save yourself some money and probably get a better system that will do more.

Bill, thanks for the welcome. Thanks for the warning as well, even though I will be leasing it. I still plan on going over the paper work with a fine tooth comb.

wcm4804 02-14-2006 06:23 PM

Hello. Yes I to am getting close to buy date.

Bill1065 02-14-2006 06:25 PM

Hmmm...aftermarket Nav system? Any suggestions on where I might be able to look, HummerNewbie?

CampMaster 02-14-2006 06:29 PM

Welcome!

Make sure to get some photos when out playing around in your new H3! (and post them)

HummerNewbie 02-14-2006 06:30 PM

Pioneer and Eclipse both make great units. You are looking at anywhere from $1,000-$1,200 brand new at a retailer such as Best Buy or Circuit City when on sale. You can also watch ebay and you can probably pick one up for under $1K. That is what I am will probably going to do. Most are XM & Sirius ready and some of the Pioneer units are even XM Traffic compatible if the service is available in your area. If you do a search of the forums you will find a lot of threads and pics about them.

Here's one of the more expensive ways to get an aftermarket nav setup. <-- linked
