Is there room in the center console? In your console, is there a removeable basket you could modify to fit the monster?

Several of us have chosen this route:
Cobra

No basket in mine, the center console was my first thought too, Nope too wide its got a pretty big heat sink hanging from the bottom not shown in the picture, I just had to have a radio with some extra. i teased my wife about mounting it on the dash.

I mounted my CB to a Meat Cutting Bord, it fits right in between the seat and console, and can be removed at any time. that way I did not have to drill into the dash of the H2.
The Meat cutting Bord works very well, and the seat holds it into place, so it does not move around.
I just put the CB into place, and pulg it in.

Hmmm well there must be a bit more room in the H2 seating, im lucky to cram my hand between the seat and console in the H3.
I might build my own slip seat radio box? Then i could use the unit even more mobile with the worry of Bump/Bang damage.

Thats an interesting rig.... Didn't know Cobra made a CB/10m combo.

edit: I just checked out Cobras site and they dont say anything about it being CB.

That rig does 28 to 29.7 MHz... no CB in it. You do know this right?
Apologies in advance if you are a HAM.
