Tire Size
Just installed some 37" BFG All-Terrains... for giggles I put a measuring tape on them... the height actually measures 35" -- barely. How the heck do tire manufacturers calculate their measurements... I neved did check the actual tire size of my old 35"s. Just curious...

Are you measuring the ones supporting the vehicle? If so, the bottom of the tire is deformed. |
Re: Tire Size
I want to go with 37"s also but was told the fronts might rub? is this true?.....do you have any pictures?

Re: Tire Size
They'll rub just a little as you can see in hawk's pic. Nothing to worry about.

Re: Tire Size
My 35's rubbed in that spot before I got the weld rims.

Re: Tire Size
It depends on your alignment. When I first got my 37s on, no rub at all. A dealer alignment screwed it up tho.

Re: Tire Size
my 37x13.50 nittos rubbed than i cranked the torsion bars and used a heat gun to push the fender liner back a little and it hrdly touches at all now, i was told the torsion crank would cause premature wear on the steering components but fukk it

Phil -- THAT was the help I was looking for. I figured that pressure, load weight, rim size, etc. would account for various standing sizes. Appreciate your help. The rack and ladder look fantastic -- thanks! Rancho lift went on great... I'll submit pics ASAP. |
