roof rail update
 

Just a little FYI........

Just spoke to my dealer about getting an oil change and happened to ask him where we stood with the "new and improved" roof rails. He said he already has one set in (and unfortunately put aside for another customer, damn !!) and has one ordered for me that he expects in by the end of the week.
Not sure if he's pulling my leg but apparently they are at the dealers already !!!

Ok, I just got off the phone and the guy from parts department said that they don't know when are the new ones coming in. But he said they can replace it with the old one. I said no worries I will wait for the new ones. :D

UGH !!!! Hope this isn't the case for me. :confused:

If you can live with the old ones, do so, and wait. There is no water intrusion with the cracked rails, so that is not a problem. Best to have them replace them once. They are held in place with threaded inserts and I personally don't like the idea of them removing those screws too often.
But it is up to you....
