idle stumble

any ideas, I had my 2003 h2 to the dealer and asked that they clean the throttle body re the idle stumble, not sure if they cleaned it correctly, any one have any simular problem, updates are complete, changed fuel filter and flushed injectors on the same dealer visit.

Re: idle stumble

are you talking about an off-idle stumble? does it hesitate or nearly go dead?

My 2006 just started to hesitate a little off a idle. I do have a Magnaflow exhaust and a Volant air cleaner. But it was doing it before I installed them. Have you found anything on yours yet?

Mine started doing the same thing. I think it's about time for a good tune-up. Plugs, wires, fuel filter,........cats, anyway, time for the shop! :)

Mine only has 4,700 miles on it and 6 months old?

Re: idle stumble

the idle has a stumble to it, it does not go near stalling. It is however driving me nuts. I have not had time to further investigate, i have been told to look at the egr? where is this located on the motor, could not see it, another was the fuel pressure regulator, If i disconect the vac line to the regulator the truck seems to run better?

Re: idle stumble

This may sound dumb but check the oil filter to see if it has an anti drain back valve(it should have A rubber seal inside the filter visible if you remove the filter, below the seal) seen strange issues solved with A proper filter installed. Even if it's the factory filter, some didn't have them. Probably won't solve anything but i'm really reaching here. I'll put some more thought to it.

I had SAME issue. Nobody could figure it out. Turned out to be plugs. Buy NEW OEM plugs and wire and you'll be good.

Re: idle stumble

Thanks guys, as far as the oil filter, this drain back valve? what is its purpose.
The plugs? is there any way of checking these, i could easily change them out, i did however have them out to check them and they were clean and the gap was good.

Tahnks again guys
