H2 Leather-Any difference in quality between Wheat and Ebony?

What I want is basically a LUX packaged H2 but with wheat interior. I noticed on the Hummer website under, ?Build A Hummar?, the LUX package only offers the Ebony Leather. Is the Ebony actually a better grade/quality leather or just the same leather in a different color? Thanks.

It might be just me, but for some reason the ebony leather seems softer. I've had a wheat leather '03 SUV and two ebony '05s (SUT and SUV). Despite the fact that it shows dust and dirt much more, I definitely prefer the ebony interior.

I agree 100%. The ebony certainly feels softer and we've had one of each. Maybe it's just because the ebony absorbs so much more heat....

Well....i have the ebony now...but even in the avalanches that i have had the darker leather seems alot more softer than the lighter color counterparts....

When the H2 first came out, the ebony was offered as a $4,000 upgrade. It is a softer leather.

The Ebony is alot softer. I don't think it'll crack as easy as the wheat did!

i am not familiar with the "wheat" leather, as i've never been in an H2 with that type. The nearest hummer dealer only orders H2s with the lux + adventure packages.

But the ebony interior is really very good, at least a match for the leather quality of other vehicles at and around this price point and it blends very well with the black dash.

i'd recommend it.
