custom speaker box
 

Hey whatz up................anyone have any good ideas on a custom speaker box? I dont care for the look of the JL audio stealthbox. I saw a kool box but it covers both rear winows completly but it holds an amp with the speaker.

I just got a fiberglass box made for me that fits over the rear wheel well but doesnt cover the window. Its hold a 10" MTX 5500 and is angled forward. Will take some pics and post later.

Ive been bouncing around putting a single sub in my truck...i acutally have the speaker just havent decided wether or not its getting installed. First i looked at fiberglass boxes b/c they look nice but up to 1k just for the box and a week out of my truck isnt worth it to me. My concept is a box that doesnt require fiberglass but can look nice by rapping with vinyl or suede but will probably have better sound quality than a fiberglass box. Its a down firing box with the port facing the rear hatch(sq is supposed to be better with sealed box but imo solobarics demand a port). Also, the down firing box keeps your storage area functional as you dont have to worry about hurting the speaker. Here is my idea followed by a couple other boxes in h2's:

i really like that last picture and custom box... thats a sweet install... pretty nice leather boots in the picture too!
