Drove an '07 today...

And wasn't extremely impressed with all the hype the 3.7 liter is getting. If I concentrated hard enough, I could feel a little more punch -- It was a good change and they're going in the right direction, but I don't think its a reason to pass up incentives on 06 models. I'm sure others will feel its "a much more powerful engine" and to each his own...Very little (if any) interior changes. The new blue color looks decent too -- really dark.

Do appreicate the input based on an actual driving experience. I think the "hype" with the 3.7 has been pretty low key. The stats show only a modest horsepower and torque increase. I'm sure a green 3.7 (not yet broken-in) won't feel much different than a 3.5.

Anything else noteworthy about the 2007?

The torque at 2800 rpm is still 225 ft-lbs, but the new high end torque tops out at 4600 rpm, which ought to help while passing or climbing hwy grades. Flatlanders may not see much difference, but every little bit helps in the Rockies.

The 2007 5-spd also gets stabilitrak ... the 2006's already had traction control.

I am very close to going down to my local dealer and ordering a ?07 Victory Red 5M, Lux, Sunroof ? no bling. I hate the thought of waiting 2 months for delivery :( but I really want that extra little but of HP. And Red/lux/sunroof could be hard to come by anyway.

Incentives are hard to pass up, but a manual adventure with lux and sunroof is going to be near impossible to find. If you have to order one anyway, you might as well get everything you want and nothing you don't

Absolutely! If I?m going to pay 30k+ for a vehicle, I?m going to get exactly what I want! Not going to compromise.;)
