While driving home through our town last night, we overheard this guy walking down the street commenting on our H2...seems he knew something that we didnt...the H2 used to be made from steel, but now its fiberglass to increase fuel economy....who would have thought....a fiberglass hummer....so many rumors....

HAHAHAHAHAHA! After just touring the factory, I can ASSURE you (like you needed to be reassured) that the H2 is indeed made entirely out of wooden 2x4's in an attempt to be even more environmentally friendly. Plus, it now floats. :D :D:D:D

you must have seen the 4th generation h2-2x4 version.....i've got the older H2-PS version which was constructed of Popscicle Sticks....i even had them build it with the riddles on the sticks showing for the entertainment of passersby.....

I had this insurance agent once try to convince me that my H2 was just a Suburban. Needless to say, I chose a different agent! :mad:

i have had tahoe/suburban owners say the same thing...told them to look underneath my H2.....and asked...does it look like a tahoe or suburban under there?.....the world is full of misinformation and people perpetuating it....just like the dork in my town that said they were fiberglass now....should have corrected him and said "if i wanted to wrap my ass in fiberglass, i would have bought a vette"....what didnt want to antagonize they guy in front of his young son.

:eek: Actualy they had an o7 SUV proto-type at the homecomeing that was 100% fiberglass body. According to the factory rep all protos are done in glass and then when they go into production changed over.

well based on the outward appearance of said individual making the fiberglass comment last night....i am thinking that he could barely afford to get out of town let alone find his was over to the hummer factory...maybe this could be the story line for a Mythbusters show?

now wait a minute...I heard in order to make them more environmently friendly they are going to make the bodies out of recycled milk jugs. and they are all going to have freon engines in order to make them more efficent...seems like a waste.

I don't know about you but my kids `05 Neon costs me about $1400 a year for full coverage. my H2 is about $950
