well I had an exciting drive today

I was returning one pool ladder and going to get another from Viscount in Canton and hit a bump...not just any bump. I hit a bump that was made from a drainage culvert under Geddes road just before Michigan ave(Michigan roads suck anyways). I was going along and when I hit this bump it forced my trailer off the hitch ball. it then landed on the road and tried to change lanes, as it jerked around behind the H2 I managed to stop it without any damage to the trailer or the truck...

anyways the damn thing scared my wife pretty bad and she was worried about it all the way home. when I got here I adjusted the tension nut under the latch and took five truns out of it before it was snug to the ball again.

just a tip for everyone, make sure your balls are snug or you may unwanted problems trailing behind you

as a matter of fact I have. I have built tons for test and a few months back I did air bag sensor testing behind the wheel. we have a special offroad course just to beat the living **** out of everything. I have seen vehicles with 4-5 feet of air under the front just in the rocks and rail road ties. we have a concrete "berm" jump about 3 feet high which I belly panned hard on twice about two months ago and cleared it at about 15 mph and it barely got 3-4" of air under the front tires.
