JURY FINDS YATES INSANE, NOT GUILTY

Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle
A Harris County jury has found Andrea Yates not guilty by reason of insanity during her second capital murder trial for the drowning deaths of her children in the family's bathtub in 2001.
The verdict upholding Yates' insanity defense comes after the jury deliberated more than 12 hours over three dats. Yates appeared shocked and sat staring wide-eyed with her lips slightly parted as State District Judge Belinda Hill asked each juror individually shortly after noon today whether they agreed with the verdict.

About 40 years of sedatives and institutional abuse should help. If she gets out....EVER...I will be surprised.

Killing angels (children) should be an automatic ticket to hell.

I remember when she killed her kids, my oldest was about 2 years old and HATED to have her hair washed. I would lay her back in the tub to rinse her hair and she would fight me so hard, it took alot of strength to rinse her hair with the fight she gave me. I remember thinking about crazy Yates and thinking about the anger and rage she had to have to be able to hold her kids down under the water. And to do it over and over again. I really do think she is crazy but there are plenty of crazy and I mean CRAAZZZZY people out there and they don't kill their kids. I really think someone should hold her under some water until she is just about to drown and then do it 5 more times and on the last time never let her up. I really think the needle in the arm is way too easy for her. I know that sounds really bad, but I think our death penalty in the US should be carried out by how you killed the person. I bet that would stop some of these "NUTS".

Mrs.ssippi has stepped off of her saap box now. Thank you.....good night.
