Landis tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone. He's asked for a backup sample to be tested. This was done after stage 17 and if true, he could be fired.

And stage 17 was where he completely blew away the field. Really set the stage for his victory. I dunno, I want to have faith, but his 'recovery' from a piss-poor stage 16 was miraculous. Hope his backup shows clean or this will taint American Cycling (and Lance's legit victories) for a long time.
