Anybody got the part number for........

The towing convience package or the rear hitch extension.
I'm trying to fit a bike carrier to the back of my SUT and it won't go in with the rear mounted spare.

I RECENTLY ORDERED THIS PART # (THEY CALL THIS A FRONT TRAILER HITCH EXTENDER) FROM WWW.HUMMER-PARTS.COM. THEIR PRICE WAS $24.88 + SHIPPING. WHEN I ORDERED IT THEY TOLD ME IT IS 12" LONG AND HAS THE HITCH PIN HOLES LOCATED IN BOTH THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL POSITIONS SO ACCORDINGLY WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THIS ON THE FRONT AND REAR OF OUR TRUCKS. I SHOULD BE RECEIVING MINE ANY DAY NOW. HOPE THIS HELPS!

THEY TOLD ME 12" BUT I HAVE NOT REC'D IT YET. ARE YOU ABLE TO USE A BIKE CARRIER ON THE REAR WITH THE 7" PIECE AND CLEAR THE REAR TIRE? ALSO, DO YOU USE A STANDARD 5/8 HITCH PIN WHEN YOU USE THIS EXTENSION IN THE FRONT? THANKS!

Paragon:

Good memory. As respects your question, I did not think I was yelling by using upper case because apparently according to HummBob, I'm not angry or yelling since I did not use an angry icon.:)

SutNeil & Company,
Thanks forall the info and comments.
I had my dealer order it. I didn't ask the price or the length.
I got to thinking though.
If it also has the vertical hole, i should be able to mound the bike rack on the front of the truck.
Anybody tried this?

Yes it will work on the front or the back! With the extension you will just clear the spare tire if you have a fold up rack. I have a SportsWorks rack and its a perfect fit.

Looks to me like you hit an unfortunate mountain biker broad side. Typical hummer owner, drives around with his trophy still stuck to the front of his truck. Now all you need to do is hang some guts from the pedals and you're all set!
