H3 Jack Recall

Recieved a notice from GM for a jack recall. Anyone know details on the changes to the new jack?

Apperantly the jack's threads didnt hold up well to wear and tear and could fail prematurely. the new one has better threads.
Thats what i was told is the problem.

Yep, ^^what they said. You wont notice a difference in the look of the jack, it just wont crash down on you now if you use it. :)

During my oil change last week they changed the jack and replaced rear washer. Claimed it would take 1.5 hours to do all, but it took them 3 hours.

Took mine into ORR in Shreveport,La , 20 minutes later I was on the road. That surprised the sh*t out of me. No oil change, just the jack and r.washer.

Re: H3 Jack Recall

Does anyone have the part number for the new jack?? I just looked at my invoice for the replaced roof rail and just realized that they replaced it with the same old stock. F5 had posted the part number and I got the old one. I'm going to the dealer in the morning for another issue and would like to have the new jack part number in hand. Thanks!
