Check your parking brake cable

My parking brake was sticking (about 9k miles). I found that where the parking brake cable assy. leaves the comparment it makes a right angle toward the back. Right at the bend there was some metal that was cutting through the cable assy.

I hope the hood cable is alright. Most of us like to release the hood before we release our brake. Thanks for the info.

I now am used to getting out of the truck to shut the hood when I release the brake...I am a slow learner....
