Short Atenna

Question, Has anyone replaced that factory Atenna with a short one, chrome or not. I kept on hitting my atenna on the garage door..become a pain in the Azz....

Any thoughts, where to buy and so on???

Hey Tex,

I have the 9" one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Flamed-Billet-Antenna-Hummer-H2-2004-2005-2006_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33639QQihZ019QQite mZ8025894888QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

Really good reception, AND IT'S BLING ;)

I didn't buy it on e-Bay though, so I can't comment on this seller? I'll try to find where I got mine and post L8R ;)

I don't see how hard it could be to move the antenna to it's original 03 position. Best spot for it.

That's one of the first things I'm going to do when I trade in for the H2 Alpha.;)

Can't you set the limit switch nearest the garage door motor a little further back to get the door to open fully? I had the same problem and just fixed the door.

I did, changed the limit switch, as well as playing around with the door. I have about 3" to clear the door, but that antenna still hits. Its not the end of the world, but I would also like to have a bit more bling....call me crazy:cool:

Actuallly I've got it down to a science now....I always back in...then try to get the right side as close to the wall as possible. (got to love the foldable mirrors) then I have plenty of room to get in and out.

Had to do that with my first garage. Neighbors couldn't believe it when they would first see me backing that truck in.

...find a good contractor and enlarge your garage! :D (We had to widen and raise the door height to get my truck in comfortably!)
