H2 Tire Presure
Greetings to all,
I have a new H2 2006 - now, on the tires it says 50 PSI but on the sticker in the driver's door it says 37 PSI ???? What is the correct tire persure for the 2006 H2 - factory tires. Many thanks, MGL |

40 if lots of local road driving -- 44 if highway (MTRs)

Re: H2 Tire Presure
Tire pressure sticker is the recommended tire pressure as set by the manufacturer of the vehicle with input from the tire manufacturer. The maximum tire pressure on the tire is the pressure the tire should be inflated to to allow for maximum load capabilities. It is never recommended to inflate greater than the maximum tire pressure stamped on the tire.

35/38 stock has worked best for me. Some people run the higher 40 to 45 range, but IMO rides to harsh. |

Yep, I'm with timgco. I tried higher pressure and saw no real change in performance or milage but got a harsh ride. I run 38 psi in my tires (stock).

Re: H2 Tire Presure
I've run mine at 37 psi until yesterday after reading this post. I ran to the gas station and upped them to 45 psi. I hate it. Too harsh of a ride and my dash rattles now. I think that I will try 40 today.

Re: H2 Tire Presure
I am runing the Stock Size BFG, A/t on my H2 and I am runing them at 40 psi. I have been geting a nice ride out of them. I have ran them at 35 psi off roading, but I put them back up to 40 psi for in town driving.

you ran your tires all the way down to 35psi? How did you not blow the tire off the rim?:D  |
Re: H2 Tire Presure
I run the recommended 37. I've gone up to 42 and found the ride to be too harsh. I would play around with the numbers - 37-45 seems a good range, and see what you're comfortable with.

Re: H2 Tire Presure
I was in Moab back in june for the Hummerhappenings that my SLC dealer sponsered and they aired all of us down to 20 PSI for the Hells Revenge Trail. There were 23 Hummers total; two H1, five H3 and sixteen H2. Now, some of us had different wheel / tire combo's of course, but the stock wheeled rigs did just fine at 20. Damm it was fun there....
