brake pedal pushes back when backing up
 
Have any of you guys been backing out of your driveway, a parking spot, etc. with your foot on the break and had the break pedal kind of push back at you? I don't know if I'm describing it the right way but it's almost like the break pedal grinds. Again, this only happens in reverse. Is this normal? It seems to only happen when I get to end of my driveway (which has a very slight downslope) and I'm ready to put the car back in drive.

Normal check of the ABS system after startup and placed in gear will cause a kick back in the pedal; more noticeable in reverse, but if you ride the brake a bit in drive you might be able to feel it.
This has been common on many GM vehicles (and others too) for many years.

How did I know you would have the answer:D ? Now that you mention it, this is something that I noticed on my Denali as well (man, I miss that truck). Is this unique to GM cars though? If so, why?
