engine light on
the other day i took my H2 to get washed after it was done i turned it on and it made noise like it was out of gas, even though it had about a quarter of gas.Either way i put more gas in it. 2 hours later the engine light turned on. anyone else have this problem or might know whats going on

Re: engine light on
Did you wash the engine also?? Maybe you got a coil wet or something. My engine light is on all the time , to many sensors .I need to get it looked at. My service rear suspension light has been flashing for a year . When the rear suspension craps out i just disconnect the battery and reset it.
Also , i want to rat this thing out to give people something to really talk about instead of what i get for mileage. Can anyone photoshop a set of longhorns on the hood of my H2 if i post a pic of it. doug |

Heres a pic. of the front end. I would like a big set of longhorn cattle horns on front.
Thanks , Doug |

what?

Re: engine light on
check your intake tube into the manifold? Probably is loose causing a lean gas code, setting off the check engine light.

Also does anyone know how to reset the computer cause that might turn the light off if something really isnt wrong with it.

I'm not sure how to reset the computer. BUt disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up might reset some of the electrical codes. doug |

buy a code reader, see what the code is, and then you can reset it with the code reader machine. |
Re: engine light on
Usually, the light goes out automatically if the fault is gone, except for some emissions and hard codes. After a specific number of engine cycles (cold engine to hot engine back to cold engine), the code is completely erased in the PCM/BCM memory. (Not true for a few airbag codes).

Re: engine light on
Many of the auto parts stores can/will read the codes for you and even reset the ones they can. Be sure to make it worth his time.
