Not sure, my dealership just wanted to do the 1500 dollar 36k fluids services, they didn't say anything about the calipers.

I am a tech at a dealership and this is the first I have herd of 36k caliper lube...It would be a different story if you are having probs with brakes.....

as far as fluid service $1500 seems a little high...we get 350 or so for trans, coolant, brake fluid, and ps. fluid..then all you have for H2 is both diffs and t-case...1.5 hours to do diffs and t-case + fluids...

My local dealership wanted $1500 also. I ended up hiring a local mobile mechanic to do it and it cost just under $300 bucks. It was nice, because I was able to help him to save on the labor... :) - and I can do it myself now...

Phil, i would guess that the pad is in wrong or crooked. Maybe clipped on wrong ? Have you had the pads replaced or are they origianals? Is it on the outboard side of the rotor ? I assume it is becuase thats the side you can see, the inside is covered with shield. I'm curious what would make them do that if they are installed correctly. Doug
