Re: What have you driven for you country??

Well, I have commanded the following vehicles but they usually do not let me drive them. I have had M1's, M1A1s, M1A1 Heavies, M113s, M1114, M1025, throw in the following ones I have rode in, HEMMT, HETT, 5 tons, LMTV, FMTV, the invincable duece and a half (last two I had were made by Kiaser in 1956) . Throw in the Blackhawks, Apaches, C130, C141, C5 (with my tank in the belly of it and wing tips flexing 10 feet), C17 and a few others. I guess being a Military guy has it benefits driving the fun toys but unfortunately I have spent most of my time in these vehicles in the sand boxes.
I bet lots of guys would pay to ride in a 70 ton M1 at 60 MPH shooting and hitting targets 3 miles away with a sabot traveling at speed I can not tell you.

Links of stuff I've actually driven.....been on lots of other stuff.

A Gamma Goat will go anywhere and was friggen bullet proof for wheel'n.
If I'm not mistaken it's a gas inline 3 cylinder. The back wheels on the trailer steer and is either shiftable to low/high 2X6 & 6X6, or 4X6 and 6X6. I've completely ran over a 30' standing tree about 10" thick and barely dented the fender on this thing. It can swim as a side note.

And of course ole trusty dusty

1. Minuteman ICBMs (Capsule Crew Commander)
2. Rotten clapped out 2WD Suburbans. (Had to get to the capsule)
3. Hueys (See #2)
4. Step vans ( I was on mobility for years and never got to go anywhere:crying: )
5. KC-135A, KC-135R (command & Control) Tagged along on a lot of missions.:jump:

You know, after 23 years, I didn't get to do too much that was REALLY fun!:crying: But, I wouldn't trade a minute of it, and I would go back in a heart beat! If they would let me. ;)
