Rear Tire Theft
Anyone had their rear tire stolen? I was just curious in that anyone can figure out how to open the rear tire carrier and it seems like just the sort of thing some H2 hater would think of doing.
Does anyone bother to lock them on? If so how? |
Re: Rear Tire Theft
Even if you did lock them on then they would just steal the whole carrier.

Re: Rear Tire Theft
Mine came with a cable and lock from factory

Re: Rear Tire Theft
I have a bike cable with a padlock through the carrier and the wheel on mine. No problems so far.
I used to use it to secure the spare on my C1500 pickup, had that for 7 years with no issues either. Stacy |
Re: Rear Tire Theft
It's really not all that difficult to secure it. I just asked the fine folks at Hall Hummer for a few locking lug nuts.

Re: Rear Tire Theft
Funny you should mention it because I just bought HummBob's rear tire on eBay!
