Well, I cut the muffler off and moved it in front I am adding a train horn and the only place was in the back.. Cost me $60 to get this done.. Take a look at the pictures :):jump:

Does it sound any different ?
Are you getting a big air tank.
Try to set it up were you can use the tank for filling tires.

The muffler is the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust, you got rid of the free flow resonator and kept the restrictive part:twak: And you moved the majority of the back pressure closer to the engine:twak: :twak:

If you're talking to me, I just meant that you stiffled the engine a little more than it already was reducing power. The part of the exhaust you took out was doing you no harm, the part you left in is the power reducing/noise reducing part of the system. And as you moved it closer to the engine, it hurts power sooner in the rpm range than it did before. It wouldn't surpise me if you see your mpg go down as a result. I'm kind of surpirised your exhaust guy didn't recommend a freeer flowing muffler to replace the resonator you took out. A magnaflow, flowmaster, or the like would have been a better choice than just moving the stock muffler as far as performance and mpg is concerned. And for serious offroading, a hot rod downturn tip behind the bumper, up in the undercarriage, is best to get the exhaust tip out of the way for major inclines/declines. I didn't go that way cause mine will never see that much hardcore stuff, but for those with rocksliders and a locker, that is ideal. You also don't see the exhaust tip that way, so you kind of have a stealth system.

I wonder how the exhaust would sound with just the resonator and no muffler? Maybe real raspy??

I drove it to the exhaust place with out a muffler.. It sounds like a tank.. or maybe a dirt track race car... Not to bad but not something I wanted to leave :) BTW I got my horns installed take a look :)
