New SMA Exhaust smells & smokes

Just installed a SMA (By Billy Boat) cat-back. There is faint smoke coming out the tail pipe and it smells bad also. The guys at Midas said that it's just a new system buring off crap and should go away after a day.

However, I've never encountered this on any of my Corsa's, Magnaflow, etc. Is this normal for SMA exhaust?

Same with my Dynomax UltrFlo system, it took a few days for smell to burn off.
