It's staged, as a ploy by construction companies to make us feel safe near dump trucks on the road, thus embracing new construction. Taking the fear away from dump trucks, and showing the real danger is in buses, oldest trick in the book.

In the photos the bus was hit by a bicycle, and the dump truck by a train. The video clip clearly uses explosives.

I dont see anything so special about the dump truck being fragile.?? I'd say both vehicles are wacked about the same. The dump truck has a fiberglass nose and a aluminum cab. The bus hit it right in the wheel. The fiberglass nose would explode from just hitting a moose. and the aluminum cab is pretty fragile. I think if you ran into a dump truck head on and hit the two frame rails , you wouldnt think they were made of tin foil.
