overnight test drive

I took home an '07 H3, luxury, off road, chrome, sunroof, XM... i loved it. i had more time to play around with it this time, and have only 2 complaints.. 1) i can't reach the window controld with my left arm, my elbow jits the seat back so i have to lean away from the window to bend my arm around to hit the controls.. anyone else notice this?? and the 2) rear visibility sucks.

i think the leveling kit and an aftermarket nav with backup camera will help the rear view difficulty, and I will get used to reaching around for the window buttons.

I plan to get a white H3.. to me the white color seems to hide scratches best, and with the dark tint windows, looks the best.

the dealer told me about a great looking wheel option as well, check it out.. it's only $100 bucks a wheel, and it has the simulated bead lock look with black painted centers... it's a Helo Black Maxx and in 16x8 size, it is a better fit for the 35" tires, which they recommended Toyo Open Country M/T..and those tires look very aggressive.

I can't wait to sell my FX35, and get the '07 white H3 with a levelling kit and 35" toyo's on the Black Maxx Helo wheels.. man, this will look great! Also plan to get the offroad roof lights, cat-back exhaust, air intake, and some kind of ECU upgrade.

also, i noticed a nice difference with the '07 motor, since it has more HP/Torque, it really was noticable compared to my first test drive in an '06 model.

just very excited today..

Try reaching under your elbow with your right hand to use the window controls. It was alittle akward at first but I dont even think about it anymore. Nice rig on the way,, Congrats,, dont forget some pics..:)

Yeah the window controls are for the short armed brethren. The GM Engineering staff must be from a special breed of short armed long pocket breed...

The visabilty will get better as you drive the vehicle more. Now I don't even notice it. The window controls are short, and yes, I need to lean in towards the center too, to reach them.

My complaint, and it is the only one is the proximity of the brake pedal to the gas pedal. If I wear a wider shoe, it is very tight with almost no room to move your foot from gas to brake.
It seems that it would be an easy fix if the brake pedal connector arm was shortened and bent towards the left approximately one inch.

Your right... there are a ton of(minor) complaints about

1. brake pedal closeness
2. window control location
3. rear visibility (or lack of)
4. horsepower
5. dirt splash/buildup on front & rear fenders
6. price
and on and on and on...

BUT

you notice MOST of us still love em and are keeping em

Remember if they were PERFECT everybody would want one

AND

Then we would have nothing to complain about!!!

Cross over window control here as well. You'll come to trust those mirrors. Get a retune from PCMforless, rev it up in the gears; for the automatic that means select the gears.:D

I had stopped by the dealer last week, to compare if you will, the difference between the '06, and the '07. You know, Except for the motor and other obvious known changes, the trucks are identical.

This makes me very happy, because for a first year model to make very minor adjustments says to me and I'm sure to all of you as well, that they did it right!

These trucks will be keepers for years to come.
Kind of like the older Corvettes. Very subtle differences, but all collectible just the same. It is what makes the vehicles unique to their respective year of manufacture.

The leveling kit will not help visibility.
Try the power seats they help a lot. You will get use to it in time.
