Gas Pedal Vibrations ... Steering Shaft
Like a few others, I used to have the thumping / vibration feedback through my gas pedal. Particularly during stop and go driving.
I complained about this when I first got my vehicle but the dealer said it was "normal". I was getting used to it but now it is gone. As part of my quest to get my dash buzz fixed, the tech diagnosed that I had excessive play in my lower stearing shaft and ordered a new one. Replacing it didn't fix my buzz but in the 2 weeks since they've installed it, I have had no strange vibrations in my pedals at all. Just thought I'd pass this info on to others in case it helps somebody. |
Re: Gas Pedal Vibrations ... Steering Shaft
Vibration in the brake pedal can be normal, depending on the type of vibration. Just on the other side of the dash panel (firewall) is a motor that turns on/off to pressurize an accumulator. This is the power assist for the brakes, the H3 does not use vacuum.
Is the buzzing constant or does it happen in stop/go traffic with increased use of the brakes? |
