New to the Forum w/ Questions...

Hello Everyone:

I am new to the Forum, I don't actually own an H3 (yet). I am browsing to make sure I do enough research on the car and to get a great deal.

I am looking into purchasing an 2006 Luxury Packacge H3. My question for H3 owners is how much did you pay for your H3 and where? I live in the West Coast so I am not sure how much of a price difference there is.

Thank you for your input in advance.

Regards,
Ellie

no price diffrence, If you can find a GM employee to give you a GM supplier discount. That will take the haggel out of it and you will pay a little over invoice.

someone help this dude out

In the Bay Area. So Hummer dealership is scarce. I am looking at the Pleasanton, Burlingame, Stevens Creek and Los Gatos.

Unfortunately I dunno of any GM employee. :crying:

FIRST, can you explain in detail this handle you gave yourself.

I don't want to guess at this one for fear of being offensive,

AND

I am a DIRTY OLD MAN...

NOW

to the main point...

If your looking at an 06 pay NO MORE then FACTORY INVOICE

MINUS

Any promo, closeout money, PM's, Spiffs, etc etc

Do not buy any DEALER OPTIONS (very high markup) {sorry guys}
CA must have a lot of dealers, don't limit yourself to close by. There are buses, trains, friends cars to get you to a more distant dealer to pick up your new H-3. REMEMBER it does not have to be serviced at the dealer of purchase, All Hummer dealers can due your warrenty and non warrenty work

PAY NO HIGHER THEN FACTORY INVOICE... REPEAT THAT 100 TIMES

and good luck

***(please answer the name thing)***

Understood.

Elle is my name... Icy is somewhat of a play on word as in "I see"

I hope that explains it.. :D

Yeah, I am shopping around. It is a poor excuse to just stick around the area. I got a quote from the Pleasanton Dealership and they wanted $35,600 plus tax & lic. I don't think this is a good deal and they won't go any lower.

THANKS ELLE,

I do retain the right to make fun of it though ...

BUT not just now (maybe later tonight)

REMEMBER NO DEALER OPTIONS !!!

LOOK up the cost (wholesale) {dealer net before holdback} on www.kbb.com OR www.edmonds.com OR www.nada.com or just ask the dealer to see the factory invoice.

Now the dealer can say no (which he has every right to say)

AND if he does you have every right to say BYE BYE (with a smile)
NOW because this is still a SEXEST Country you may want to take along your boyfriend or husband or your girlfriends boyfriend or your dad or some man willing to act for you (not being rude here or funny but its a fact of life) {and please no body give me crap on this CAUSE its true}

OH YEAH, Buy the way, SOME, not all, WOMEN salespeople will take advantage of a woman pruchasing a car alone. (for true)

MOST, not all vehicle sales people are paid on SOME FORM of a commission setup, The more you sell the vehicle for, the more you make on THAT sale...

SO,

Now you have looked up the actual cost, (REMEMBER NO DEALER OPTION unless they are FREE) or the dealer has shown you the FACTORY INVOICE

AND

then you subtract the current promo (I THINK, not sure here, that there is a $2500 close out on the 06 H-3's)

AND

WALA !!! thats a good price to pay

OH YEAH !

NO, repeat NO SCOTCHGARDING, NO UNDERCOATING and NO PAINT PROTECTERENT

I may have missed some small things which I'm sure others will discover and fill you in on..

GOOD LUCK (FRIGID MISS)

sorry, couldn't wait...

Welcome Elle,
Good luck with your find. It may be as easy as the first dealer or as difficult as five down the road.
Don't give up though. Someone wants to move the trucks off
their lot for the '07's.
Remember though you may not find exactly what you want. If you want specific things, it may be in your best interest to order a nice New Tailored H3, built to your tastes.

AND remember DON'T pay over FACTORY INVOICE. There are dealers out there who will sell you an 07 at invoice, trust me

You work hard for your money and for many (most) people a nice vehicle is the 2nd most expensive thing they ever purchase after their home...

As my pappy told me : better in your pocket then theirs"

good luck still...

Hi Elle -
with a GMID, I paid a little less than Invoice. About $3K off MSRP I think. But with 0% financing, that's where the real savings comes from! :) But that's on an 06.
Good luck. Hope you choose to get one. I love mine.

I'd stay away from the Silicon Valley (SC & LG) dealers. They were just sold and will be shutting down within a few months. Not sure if the new owner is going to reopen at a new site in the South Bay.

Check around here and on Edmunds.com/Hummer H3 forum. There are employees willing to give you an ID.

FWIW, I purchased from Burlingame using a GMID and they were very helpful. I did everything from phone/email. Went to pick it up and was there for not even an hour probably. Best car buying experience of my life.
