What roof racks are for....

Today was a good day for me, bad day for the deer. 8 pt buck & a full-sized doe, both with my bow & arrow, glad Dad had a tractor with a front-loader to get them up top. Not a great 8 pt rack, but 200 lbs of good, lean meat on the hoof. Looked great driving down the highway home, especially with my bumper sticker "I love animals, they're delicious!"

Rack is BVG...Bauer Vehicle Gear...found it online, around $200. U-bolts go right around roof bars, sits a little high but holds a good load. Measures about 40x46", and you can get an extension to add another 20 some inches. I've got a sunroof, so no extension will fit without covering it up.

The sticker is a Ted Nugent ad for his Kids Kamp, found it on his website...but now I don't see it, so you may have to call to see if they have any left.

Best bumper sticker I ever had...great looks from behind, either a "yuck" look or a great big laugh.

I LOVE ANIMALS, THEY'RE DELICIOUS!

Deer tails hung from the antennae and rack on the hood instead of bull horns :giggling:

Now does having the extension and covering up the sunroof really matter? I mean if you have the sunroof open for ventilation, it wouldn't matter if it were covered up or not! I am just saying this as I am considering this rack with the extension or without it. :) I am not at all opposed to having the rack cover up the sunroof if I am going to get 40% more storage space!

After you dress the deers take some of the meat and marinate it in a mixture of lime juice, mango necter, dry mustard & basil, a little salt & fresh ground black pepper. If your into onion & garlic add that also.

Marinate for a minimin of 48 hours at 36 degees F or less (do not freeze)

WOOD smoke and grill (NO CHARCOAL OR GAS)

SEND ME SOME !!!

btw, nice rack

I've got the rack all the way back, only covers the rear 6" of sunroof, no big issue!

I don't have these in my CafePress shop but I've seen some good stickers there. Just click on my shop to get to Cafepress then search from their home page. A couple of good ones I've seen:

PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals)

If God didn't want us eating animals why did He make them out of meat?
