What did you replace it with? I am curious if you put in a DVD system and if you did. How did you bypass the the P-Brake to get the screen to work while driving?

In progress replacing with AVIC-D2. Currently waiting on peripheral to get thier act together on the gm24 interface they sold me. It didnt work correctly and thier return process sucks. To answer your question on this model to play DVD's and bypass the brake issue. According to the gurus on the avic411.com forum. Ground the P-brake wire and you fool the safety requirement. At least on this s/w release.
Remember that in most states it is unlawful to play DVD's in the driver view area.:o

Any chance this is one of the single disk units that will play MP3's ?

If so, I am definately interested.

(When I wasnt looking for one, they were everywhere. It aint that way now)

Don't think it plays MP3. Never tried. How would you tell ?

It will actually have the MP3 logo embossed on the display and
the #5 and #6 station buttons will have some icons that look
like file folders.....Have no clue what the part number is for that unit.
