That was worse than the others that's been posted.

Most of them are BS and are someone reacting rather than being hit. The camera shakes are indicative of mortar or IED exploding elsewhere. It's not on the weapon.

Lots of those were real. It is easy to tell the difference between the muscle reation (IMO) when they are "hit" compared to an involuntary reaction to the shot itself.....:confused:

That site has a couple good videos from over there. The one where the kids are throwing rocks at the convoy is actually somewhat funny...considering the serious implications of what that could cause it isn't that funny, but it's in some weird sort of fashion refreshing to see/hear our guys reacting the way they did and with so much restraint. I couldnt do it...:rant:

Don't get me wrong. There's some video of "hits" but they are not coming from the direction of the camera.

Most of that was formatted for propoganda and not as a documentary of a sniper's hits. Many were not even small arms fire.

i know this probably isnt a popular view on this forum, but we shouldnt even be there.
we went in because we were sold that there were WMDs, and against the UN's advice because we didnt show sufficient evidence of WMDs. there were also rumblings of al queida ties...
at the time the UN stated though saddam had been uncooperative, there was never any evidence he restarted his nuclear program since 91.
we have basically leveled iraq and thrown them to the brink of civil war.
what was once the most advanced and economically strong mid east nations, now relys on generators for electricity and working plumbing is scarce.
iraq also had the largest standing army in the mideast.
so now, years later, countless lives, and trillions of dollars later, we havent found any evidence of WMDs, and no terrorist links to osama.
so....why are we there?
democracy? gimme a break. theres a lot worse places to we could have "settled."
again we have meddled in affairs and events we didnt understand and have managed to destabilize a whole region.

dont get me wrong....im not a peace freak. i just dont understand what the hell were doing there, and worse yet, i dont think our policymakers do either.

I guess I am able to watch that chit because it puts into perspective for me the hatred these animals have towards us. They are cowards and this is the only way they know how to fight a war. I wish it were as easy as "us" being able to fight a war the best way we know how, and level the god damn place:mad: ...but obviously in the real world it is not that easy so we keep on keepin on eh...

But in my opinion there are to many people out there blind to the pure hatred these extremists have towards our culture and I wish they could see these type of propaganda videos and **** that these terrorists recruit with and wake the F up to what is going on in the middle east. They are breeding their children to fight in the war against the west, and it is very inevitable that these kids are going to grow up with the same radical views that many of these terrorist organizations hold today...:o

I'm guessing we do the same thing with our snipers. I've read a few books about ours sniper work in Vietnam. Pretty interesting stuff. But, we don't create videos with cutsie music showing how cool it is.

No, we don't do what's portrayed in that video. Random "hits" is not the job of US sniper teams.

Besides, in many of those circumstances shown, the "sniper" would shortly be dead for giving away his position had he actually been taking those shots from where the camera was, and again. Many of those were reactions to things other than small arms fire.

forget the propaganda and ask why were spending trillions out there and losing many of our boys lives. for what? you dont still think there are WMD's there do you?? :)
just this week a local kid from my neighborhood just lost his life out there so it brings it a bit closer to home.
i certainly wouldnt wanna send my son there.
(keep in mind im not trying to make this a political "republican vs. democrat" debate or anything. as far as im concerned u can dump em all in the river.)

anyway, sorry to get off topic.
