A Day in Qatar Desert
6 Attachment(s)
Hi,
as nearly everybody is playing in mud, rain and snow, here are some pics from Qatar, were we still have 30?C and splendid sun... advice: Never stop in soft sand with the Hummer on the Top of a dune... You will just sink when you restart... :twak: Then rock the car, and in one min, you're outta here! That's why you need a team! :grouphug: Attachment 32943 Top of the 40m dune... That's the best moment! when you don't see anything. then relax, it just goes by itself! Attachment 32944 Problem with clearance??? what problem??? Look how small they are on the top of the dune! :giggling: Attachment 32945 Yeah, sun, sand and H3! and a few beers later...:beerchug: Attachment 32946 In the middle of the desert, the dunes jut fall in the inland sea! On the other shore, it's Saudi Arabia! Allah Akbar country... Attachment 32947 Just for pleasure, Sunset in the desert... Attachment 32948 See ya next week... Same place, same fun!:p |

Great pics, I do miss the sunsets and sunrises of the desert, esp when not being shot at.

Re: A Day in Qatar Desert
GR8 dune pics!!! Did you try letting air out of the tires? I go down to about 12lbs & it'll float on the sand.

Yes, of course!!! i go down to 13 lbs... it's enought nearly everywhere. The problem is actually if you have to stop in soft sand... Then, it's tuff to restart. Moreover with stock tyres! |

A trick in soft sand is to slow down and come to a stop softly. If you stop to hard it will form a bump in front of your wheels.:D Or back up a bit then go:o Or switch it to 4 low hit the locker and pull out,you need the adventure for that option.:shhh: I only go down to 18lbs at the beach,I never had a problem,I try not to stop in the real soft sand. |
