Flying pigs alert: a green Hummer
![]() ![]() General Motors has unveiled a 'green' version of the Hummer H3 that runs on E85 ethanol-based bio-fuel. The H3 FlexFuel retains the regular H3's 5.3-litre V8 engine* and its four-wheel drive system, but GM says the exterior has been smoothed off to make the car more aerodynamic, helped by revised suspension that lowers the ride height by 50mm. GM has not quoted any economy figures for the FlexFuel version of the 'baby' Hummer but says it is significantly more efficient than the standard H3's 20mpg combined fuel consumption. * How can an engine be "retained," if it is not available...yet? Besides E85 is a rip off... |

Look at the wheels.
Its a matchbox car:rolleyes: :D |
Re: Flying pigs alert: a green Hummer
I noticed it said 285/r18... 18" wheels? Why would you want to lower it?

Re: Flying pigs alert: a green Hummer
Whats wrong with it?? Something looks awfully wrong! At a quick glance it looked like the old Cherokee. Then it looked like a 3, but something is out of place on it.

Just a few more modifications.....and...There! We have it: The H3sm (soccer mom version). Soon to be available in a 2WD version with super-soft suspension, built-in child seat and a grocery bag holder. What a shame. |

Oh I hope not, The owner of Ron Jon's Surf Shop makes everything he owns into a woody, including his Million dollar motor coach. Thats all we need in this town is for him to go ruin a H3 like that. |

Re: Flying pigs alert: a green Hummer
wow that bugger is low!
regardless I am glad to see that a V8 will be offered. |
Re: Flying pigs alert: a green Hummer
I guess they somewhat "officially" let the V8 out of the bag:D
Doubt if they will ever offer a 2 WD version like Jeep is offering on the 2007 Wrangler. |

The "smoothed off" lines aren't so bad, but lowering any hummer is a tragedy. 50 mm is about 2 inches  There is something wrong with its look tho ... I think it needs crossbars and a sunroof. |
