H2 Winter Recovery/Survival Kit
 
Hi all, long-time lurker, first-time poster.

Winter is fast approaching, and for some parts of the country its definitely here. What would you all put in a H2 winter recovery/survival kit. I used to pull people out of ditches with my Durango, but I'd like to get a new set of tools for the H2.

So whats in your winter H2?

This is what I carry during the winter:

Battery jumper cables
First aid kit
Shovel
Tool kit including sockets, wrenches, hammer, electrical repair gear. pry bar, cat paw
Utility tool (Leatherman Wave)
Knife
Sleeping bags or blankets
Extra winter clothing (caps, socks, mittens, and boots) for each person in the truck
Food supply of high-calorie, non-perishables (canned nuts, candy, nutrition bars)
Windshield scraper
Flashlight and transistor radio with extra batteries for each
50lb Bag of sand
Bright colored cloth
Cellular phone, power adapter, extra charged battery
5 gallon jerry can of gas
5 gallon jerry can of water inside the truck
Winch
Winch gear (shackles, straps, etc.)
Extra gloves (leather for working)
Extra pair of socks
Ski bibs with jacket
Spare TieRod
Hi Lift jack
Tire chains
Tire repair kit (plugs)
Sat. phone
Air compressor with 5 gallon tank (125psi)
Assorted air tools (impact, ratchet, grinder)
Hurricane Tape
Advanced first aid kit
Battery operated defibulator
Flares / Flare Gun
Canister air horn
Road signage (Help, Call Police, Emergency, etc)
Roadside reflectors
Special, hidden, toys and games for the kids (new so they're suprised)
Extra dog food if the dogs are with us

I'm sure I missed a few things, but that should help.

Everyone's list is different...Here's a few suggestions! ;)

3 day food & Water supply
first aid kit
basic survival set-up (tarp,blankets,flashlight,wire,lighters,gloves,win d-up radio/flashlight,solid fuel,box of 45cal, just Keep adding as needed)
change of clothes
Winch, and wench as needed
and the list goes on! ;)

That's the re-orginized part!...It's ALL in the vault, Gobi Tool Box's (spare parts), On the Rack (Gobi of course), and in the Ice chest!.....Plus a SAT Phone to call in the Helo's! :D

Ken, where do you hide all that in an SUT? ;) I especially like the defibulator, I could use one of those for the kids.;)

Thanks!.:) ....Couldn't find a # on the Pelican, And No Mods were done!...Just a good place for the SAT Phone. ;)

Water is great to carry but in the winter it tends to freeze overnight. I have found that distilled water doesnt seem to freeze as soon as tap water. Dont know why, but it seems to be true.

Pre-mix a couple of gallons of SoCo and lime. Ummmm....
