Not as stupid as getting my hand caught in the grill...
 

but I had an infuriating moment a few months ago. I was putting on the hitch to tow my new boat out for its maiden voyage with a large group of friends. As I was inserting the factory hitch pin through the hole, it went from this

halfway through the insertion. The locking bit flipped to the locked position inside the receiver tube with the hitch inserted! :mad: :OWNED:

I ended up spending about 40 minutes reaching in the tube from the end on the front of the truck with a variety of tools and a flashlight figuring out how the lock even worked and disengaging it. :rant::crying: Everyone else went to lunch on me.

I told myself I'd get rid of the stupid factory hitch pin, but months later I'm still using it.

Has this happened to you?????
