Windows Media Player 11
I upgraded to WM 11. Now none of my Cd's that were saved on my computer will play. It says I need a license and when I try to get the license, it says tha t the license has been downloade 10times and no more are available.
These are Cd's I purchased at a retail store, some more than 10 years ago. Some of the Cd's, I still have the original, some have been damaged over the years. I'm going to try uninstall for WM player 11. Just wanted to let people know what was happening  |
Re: Windows Media Player 11
I installed it on one of my laptops and haven't had any problems with it yet, but I don't have any DRM protected stuff. Try looking in MS's knowledge base for a fix. And don't rip your CD's to WMA. Then get Winamp or Musicmatch.

Re: Windows Media Player 11
I ripped all my CD's 900 in all to the hard drive so I can put them on my wife's new I pod. Now they are all locked. I'll have to rip them again to Itunes I guess. What a pain in the ASSSS. Bill Gates Sucks, this really pisses me off. It took months to ripp all those CD's. Bill Gates Sucks!!!!

Re: Windows Media Player 11
just installed it and no problems so far.
I'd contact some sort of tech support before starting down the road of re-ripping your entire music collection. it's a little late now but ya might want to consider Itunes if you're planning on uploading files to an i-pod. |
Re: Windows Media Player 11
I've started reripping to Itunes 3 days ago 1,200 songs 5.5 gigs so far. About 1/3 of the way through.. I deleted Window media player 11, and all of the windows media player. All files that were a problem I had ripped using wma format. later all the files were labeled *.wma(tm). No problems with bootlegged songs or MP3 formats. Only the songs I bought and paid for, and still have the disc for. I hate bill, he is so worried ablut the dollar and copyright that the enduser pays the price.
