CO folks...any additional info???

Re: CO folks...any additional info???
I was going to take hwy 40 to Winter Park this morning to do some skiing. But I had to stay and meet with my electrician and plumber. Glad I wasn't caught in that avalanche. Or worse, I could have been stuck in the traffic!
A buddy of mine went up to WP today. He made it by the avalanche by about 5 minutes and had a great day skiing. But.......the road stayed closed. The only way back to the Denver area is a 120 mile detour! Major suckage. |
Re: CO folks...any additional info???
I could think of worse things than being stuck in Winter Park overnight.
We have avalanches in the Cottonwood Canyons almost every year. You're only thirty minutes from home, but you can't get there. Everyone just stays in the lodges and gets tanked. The worst part is the hangover in the morning. |

See, this is one of the great things about this forum. Being able to get firsthand information about something like this. Thanks CO for giving me the locals perspective:) |
Re: CO folks...any additional info???
If this keeps up, Denver is coming off our list.

Don't worry Ken, it's gonna be 51 degrees here today. I shouldn't mention that the wind is whipping at 70 mph today. |
Re: CO folks...any additional info???
We think this is a sign. A warning of sorts.
Hey, no hurricane's hit FL this past year. Maybe that's a sign, too.:beerchug: |
