Hello, Mark
I read both style of jumping the DRL relay.
With print out in hand,I had a local shop here in Durango, CO. install the jumper w/diode.
After spending the afternon in town, waiting for the sun to go down ( Shopping ) I drove the 26 miles home. What a differance!

Works great, DRL's on during during day light hours, without all the running lights.
And on at night with headlights." IMPRESSED "

Noting you were the only person that replied/answered my question: THANKS AGAIN !!!!

I most likely will have additionalquestions, this is my first H2.
Purchased 1/2/06 after years of driving Escalade's I was ready for a change.

#1 does it really put out much more light, #2 do you need a diode, #3 do the drls' blind the oncoming traffic?

If you don't want your parking lights on during the day then you do

Why thanks

I'd rather like the sickly gummy glue on the back of a star than a chocolate starfish.

Now Louise...you need to replace the DRL's with a real fixture, not just the night-light factory bulb/fixture.

I replaced mine with '03 Lincoln Navigator fog light fixtures, and a 9005 bulb. Aimed them down a bit and they are "great"!! I did the jumper without the diode...if I don't want them on in the daytime, I just flick the headlight switch off.

One correct answer is all you need, right?

Louise,

You're welcome but don't discount the willingness of other members to help. I have found many of our members like to play more than what I am used to on other boards but they are also skeptical to posters with next to nothing posts.

I guess they have had their share of trolls and sometimes it's hard to differentiate the good new members from the bad ones.

Anyway, again you're welcome and like TX said, I guess only one correct response is enough.. lol.

Have a great night and watch for other cool mods on this board.

Mark

PS. Hum2, you installed Nav lights? How are they different, how do they fit and are the 2005 bulbs are different than the 2006 bulbs?

Nixxxster 01-20-2006 01:57 AM

HUM2,
I also like to know how was the fit with the 03 Lincoln Navigator fog light. And does it still like a DRL? Is the 03 the only year that fits? Some pic too please

Nixx,

Browsing through ebay, I came across these Navigator/H2 driving lamps. I'm assuming the price reflects the quality but if you want to see what they look like, maybe these are them. (personally, I don't like them)

Navigator lamps

Nixxxster 01-21-2006 06:10 AM

Crush I agree I don't like those light either. Wanted to see how the 03 Nav look like. Wanted to put yellow bulb on it.

OrangeCrush 01-21-2006 09:23 AM

I'm not even sure if they are like the OEM lights for a Nav. They may be calling them that since they fit a Nav.... not really sure. In either case, they're too blingy for me. They just look cheap.
