Wiper/washer

Hi everyone.

I got a 2004 H2.

A few month ago, my front window washer startet spraying water on the window.
Only way to stop this, was removing the releay in fusebox.

After a few day, I replaced the relay, and problem was gone.

A month ago, I got the problem again. I removed the relay, and replaced after a few days, and problem was gone again.

Today, the wiper starts, and keep on going, and I cant stop this.

Is this a known problem ??

Thanks.

Paw

Re: Wiper/washer

Sometimes a relay will either loose it's spring or the contacts will stick together from over-current. Sometimes it's just a bad relay, or sometimes the motor or driven load requires too much current damaging the relay.

I think the first thing to do is replace the relay, then if the problem returns you can look for more expensive problems.

It's the wiper module, every Hummer dealer stocks them.

I did test the relay.

They work ok :-(

I am afraid the problem is more expensive.

I had to replace my wiper motor unit when this happened - its not a cheap part - at least not if your in the UK - cost a couple hundred pounds IIRC.
